Maya Flores is an Associate Attorney with Kriezelman Burton & Associates, LLC. Maya holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology/Anthropology and Psychology from Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois. In May 2021, she earned her law degree from DePaul University College of Law. She received a CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Legal Writing.
While in law school, Maya worked as a PILI Law Student Intern with the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund (“MALDEF”), interned with Beyond Legal Aid, and served as a Judicial Extern with the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois. Maya also worked as a Research Assistant for Reverand Craig Mousin and in DePaul’s Asylum and Immigration Legal Clinic.
Prior to joining Kriezelman Burton & Associates, Maya worked at another Chicago-based immigration firm where she primarily focused her practice on employment-based immigration matters.
