Brittni Rivera

Biography

Brittni Rivera is a Partner at Kriezelman Burton & Associates, LLC, where she dedicates her practice exclusively to the complexities of immigration law. As a first generation immigrant herself whose family immigrated from Cuba in the 1970s, Brittni’s work is more than a career—it is a deeply personal mission to protect the rights and dignity of the immigrant community.

Brittni brings over a decade of experience to the firm, blending sharp legal expertise with a genuine, compassionate approach. She is a fierce advocate in federal litigation, removal and deportation defense, asylum, and family-based immigration.

Her commitment to justice was most recently demonstrated through her leadership following Operation Midway Blitz in 2025. Recognizing a systemic violation of due process, Brittni filed over 50 habeas corpus cases across the United States. Her tireless efforts in the federal courts led to the release of numerous individuals from ICE custody, restoring their right to a fair hearing and reuniting them with their families.

Brittni’s foundation in advocacy began at DePaul University, where she graduated magna cum laude with degrees in Psychology and Spanish. She went on to earn her Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2014. She is fluent in Spanish and reaches out to churches, bar associations and community groups establishing ties across a broad spectrum. She is also an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and the Federal Bar Association.

On a personal note, Brittni believes that every client has a story worth telling. Being fluent in Spanish allows her to build a bridge of trust and understanding with those she represents, and she finds great joy in learning about the diverse cultures and backgrounds of the families she serves. For Brittni, the law is not just about filings and statutes—it is about ensuring that the next generation of immigrants has the same opportunities her own family sought decades ago.”
