Federal Court Orders USCIS to Fully Reinstate DACA

On Friday, December 4, 2020, a federal judge ordered USCIS to fully restore the DACA program and allow newly eligible immigrants to file new applications for protection under the program. The court also ordered USCIS to announce all changes to its website by Monday, December 7, 2020, and to restore all those with current work permits valid for one year to a full two years.

As many as 300,000 new applicants could now be eligible for DACA as a result of this court ruling, and many more are also eligible for restored work authorization.  If you or a family member wish to discuss your options in light of the new court order and the reinstatement of the DACA program, the immigration attorneys at Kriezelman Burton and Associates are available to assist you.  Call our office today at 312-332-2550 to schedule a consultation.
